#1 Eat breakfast! - your body has fasted all night and sometimes longer if u eat an early supper and no night snack, u need to boost the metabolism.
#2 Skip the alcohol - empty calories and alcohol burns first.
#3 Eat 5-6 small meals a day, basically every 2-3 hrs or so...after that your metabolism slows down...we don't want that!
#4 Always eat complete meals - you should have each of the major components, fat, protein and carb in each meal.
#5 Fiber - make sure you get lots of fibre, once your body burns the fat it needs to get rid, did you know the average person has anywhere from 5-20 lbs of accumulated waste within the colon?
#6 Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day- dehydration (which most of us are) is a major factor in ppl's inability to loss weight, when dehydrated your body goes into storage mode..not just that but u also need to water to expel the unwanted toxins and fat from your system. Keep in mind if you drink coffee or other caffeinated drinks you need to add additional glasses of water to compensate for the diuretic affects of the caffeine.
#7 Stick to whole, natural foods, stay away from processed foods, eat only that is in itself the ingredient. (ie. fresh vegetables, lean meats, whole grains). Foods that are packaged or "created" usually contain sugar, chemicals and unneeded fats...only a waste of calories in my opinion.
#8 Have a cheat day- your body needs to be kept guessing, like anything else you try to do, it gets use to it and you end up in plateau..so leave one day a week to have one cheat meal, treat or whatever...this keeps the body guessing..
#9 Your fat intake should come from lean meats and flax.
#10 Fruit or dairy should only be part of ur meals in the mornings...only complex carbs after noon..and each meal should have each of the 3 components.
